Godspell Rises High

Burnsville, Minn. – March 2008 –The first things you will notice, when you attend The Chameleon Theatre Circle's production of Godspell, are the two 17-foot scaffolding towers. This will be your first clue that this playful production will be a lot of fun.

Next you will see members of the audience seated on the stage, video screens, and bean-bags scattered around for kids. Once the production begins, you will hear songs such as Prepare Ye The Way of the Lord and Day by Day sung by a fun-loving and highly talented cast who are re-telling parables from the Gospel of Matthew while climbing and swinging from scaffolding. This event will be inspirational and entertaining for the whole family.

Godspell celebrates The Chameleon Theatre Circle's tenth season by bringing back their highly acclaimed first season show, with many members of the original cast and crew. "The 1998 production of Godspell built a solid theatrical and financial foundation for the company. The 2008 version will build upon the foundation that created a community of talented artists and patrons. Everything grows. And as we welcome the newest generation to our stage, we will use the wisdom in the play to grow ourselves in a positive way and continue the circle," states G.J. Clayburn, the original director and co-founder of The Chameleon Theatre Circle, who returned to make this production a reality.
